It’s been another busy month here at Cottons! The company is buzzing with new vacancies, new technologies and new clients. Here’s what’s been going on in detail…
Oli Vale, from the Rugby office, welcomed a beautiful baby boy! Oli’s and Amanda’s son is called Lewis Billy Vale and weighed 8lb 7oz. Congratulations!
Double Success in Daventry
Congratulations to Laura Sergeant and Carrie Betts on their exam results this month. Laura passed her ACA exams and became part qualified ACA with only three exams left to go, and Carrie passed another one of her ACCA exams!
New Clients in the Capital
Since it’s opening earlier this year the London office has been growing rapidly. This month the team have successfully welcomed over ten new clients of all sizes and have been assisting them with a range of services, most recently helping one start-up take their business forward by adding their first employee onto PAYE. Well done to our clients who are growing.
The Cottons’ Pack Tackle The Wolf Run
On a chilly November morning ten of our bravest (or craziest…) employees took on the elements as they tacked the Winter Wolf Run; one of the toughest obstacle course races Britain has to offer. The team completed the course in a very respectable 2 hours and 40 minutes will all members crossing the finish line! We’ve written a full article on the event.
The Next Generation
At Cottons we believe our success is built on recruiting, retaining and developing the best available people. We are regulated by the ICAEW and ACCA and offer effective training and career opportunities which encourage development.
We also offer excellent opportunities to University Graduates looking to pursue a career towards becoming a qualified accountant and have recently been working with both Warwick and Northampton University to sponsor and train graduates.
Mark from our Rugby office recently attended a careers event at Warwick University. Equipped with our new marketing flyers he took the time to inform the students about these training opportunities. We also sent over various careers contacts that we have with local schools and places of education.

This month also seen the Autumn Statement come from the Government. In this highly anticipated budget, Phillip Hammond had to get the balance just right reminding the public of government stability whilst also addressing key issues.
