Will Smart Rejoins Cottons as Partner

We’re proud to welcome back Will Smart! Will is returning to Cottons as a partner and will be based at the Northampton branch.

Will originally trained with the firm in the 1990’s before pursuing a career outside practice, eventually acting as a Chief Financial Officer. In 2003, a return to practice saw him set up his own accountancy firm in London, which he successfully built and eventually sold. Will has remained in general practice since this time and has now returned to his team and clients at Cottons as a partner.

Will’s key aims now that he has returned are to assist small business owners and taxpayers in driving profitability and reducing tax. Through careful planning and a practical approach, he aims to increase wealth generation and retention. His general interests include countering the current Government’s tax attacks on small owner-managed business and residential landlords.

Nick Warne, Managing Partner at Cottons, is pleased to welcome Will back to the team and has commented, ‘Will is now the fifth Partner that has trained with Cottons and part of his duties will be to oversee the progress of our training students. Will’s knowledge of all matters accounting will undoubtedly add to the Cottons Brand’.

We look forward to having Will back and as always, the whole team is here to help you with the day to day running of your business and beyond.
