Despite the Rugby World Cup taking place on the same morning, the Cottons team braved the cold, rain, mud to take part in the Winter Wolf 2019 at Stanford hall.
The Winter Wolf has a reputation for being one of the more challenging courses with a variety of obstacles scattered through the 10k off-road run.
This year the team ran to raise money for Home-Start Northampton. Home-Start Northampton supports vulnerable young families living within the borough of Northampton.
They support families with emerging needs where there is at least one under school-age child. Families with emerging needs are families in temporary crisis or early difficulty and their focus is to support at this stage to stop their situation from becoming worse and the need for statutory intervention; those families who need that little bit of extra help and who otherwise wouldn’t get it.
As you can see from the photos, the team battled through waist-deep mud and a few minor scrapes to complete the run in a little over two hours!
