Accountant – Rugby

As a result of recent expansion an opportunity for a Part Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) has arisen in our busy Rugby office to provide support to the Partners.

The role would suit an individual with a background in practice and will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • Accounts preparation
  • Corporate and personal taxation
  • Handling day-to-day enquiries
  • Compliance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and potential clients.

The role is office based but will involve some travel to clients and our other offices in the region

Xero accounting personnel required – Rugby

As a result of increased demand for advice in cloud based accounting software (in particular Xero), an opportunity has arisen to recruit personnel to support our existing team in this area.

The role would suit an individual with a background in practice. Ideal skills and experience required for a successful candidate:

  • Part qualified/QBE/AAT qualified
  • Proficiency in use of Xero accounting software required (ideally Xero certified)
  • Proficiency in use of other cloud software advantageous (Quickbooks online, Sage One, Kashflow, Free Agent)

The role itself will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • Providing advice to clients on accounting software in general
  • Demonstrating Xero to clients and provide training in its use
  • Assisting in managing Xero client portfolio

The role will be mostly office based but will involve some travel to clients (mostly within Warwickshire and Northamptonshire) as well as travel to our other offices in the region.

AAT Trainee Accountant – Rugby

An opportunity has arisen in our growing Rugby office to offer a school leaver or A-Level graduate an AAT training package with full study support towards achieving the qualification.

The individual should be ambitious, hardworking and self motivated. Excellent communication skills are important for the variety of client contact that will be faced.

Work experience over the course of the training contract would include:

  • Preparation of financial statements
  • VAT return preparation
  • Management accounts preparation
  • Assisting with audit work
  • Personal and corporation tax compliance
  • Bookkeeping
  • Exposure to relevant accounting software programs

Following completion of the AAT training contract there may be the opportunity to further progress on to the ACA professional qualification to become a qualified chartered accountant.

Although the role is based in our Rugby office it will involve some travel when required to clients and our other offices.

Part Qualified Accountant – Daventry

We are looking for an experienced part qualified accountant with private practice experience to join our busy Daventry office on a permanent full time basis. We are looking for all round skills and familiarity with Sage and Iris software preferred/desirable. Full study support and training package included for the successful candidate.

Corporate Finance

We are looking for personnel to join our Corporate Finance team and all levels will be considered. At the Senior level this position will probably be best suited to an ACA qualified with perhaps some auditing background who wishes to pursue a career in the Corporate Finance sector.

We are also looking for a Trainee to take the ACA qualification route with a view to a possible career within Corporate Finance on qualification. The training offered within the office would be tailored to suit that ambition.
